A Rainy Day in Southern Maryland
As is my routine after returning home from travel, I was out before sunrise to take advantage of the soft light of dawn this morning. The photography was a bit challenging and yet rewarding this weekend due to unrelenting rain. Fortunately I caught a couple of breaks and was still able to get a few good compositions.
As you can see by the title photograph, I am not kidding regarding the rain. This house is located on beautiful Saint George’s island adjacent to Piney Point Maryland. It is not often you get the opportunity to photography a house in reflection…from the front yard.
The second photograph was taken from one of my favorite locations in Southern Maryland; a small county pier adjacent to an equally small commercial crabbing facility. The early morning light at this location is always changing, surprising, and appealing.
Have fun, and go make some great photography!
