Great shots and I'm especially drawn to the first one (blown-out, white background). The overcast, diffused light is perfect and really fills in the faces and softens the contrast. Nice job with these and I hope you pick up some more portrait work - your friends/clients will be more than happy.

The intersecting shadows at the far end of the bridge create a really subtle sense of symmetry - very pleasant sensation indeed.
All the chaos of the bridge deck is jsut swept away by the light and shadows.

Craig, this and the previous are great posts (and shots to boot). One caveat - Eat Well, but before the shoot. CF cards don't work well with drool on them (glad I didn't ruin your 5D).
